DBFlowManager

A quick and easy database manager and viewer plugin library for your DBFlow databases to view, insert, delete, update the tables directly inside your app.

Inspiration & Description

Databases are the crucial part in mobile apps these days. And in android, SQLite is the go-to solution for integrating databases. Recently, RaizLabs DBFlow has been proven to be quite easy and fast ORM for SQLite databases. But, to test SQLite databases in app, I was using DatabaseManager, but it wasn't compatible with DBFlow. So, I created this DBFlowManager for this purpose. In short,

DBFlow + DatabaseManager = DBFlowManager

Using this library, you can easily view, insert, delete, update the tables of your app's DBFlow database directly from your app by using just a single line of code.

Features

  • View all your tables data in tabular format
  • Insert rows to your tables
  • Update rows
  • Delete rows
  • Delete tables
  • Drop tables
  • Write your own custom queries and view the results. (Create statements, joins, etc)
  • Change data in the tables and see how you application responds

 url "https://jitpack.io"
}

}

}

and then in your app's build.gradle file:

dependencies {

compile 'com.wajahatkarim3.DBFlowManager:DBFlowManager:3.1.1-v1'
}

Or add DBFlowManager as a new dependency inside your pom.xml

<dependency>
 <groupId>com.wajahatkarim3.DBFlowManager</groupId>
<artifactId>DBFlowManager</artifactId>
 <version>3.1.1-v1</version>
 <type>pom</type>  </dependency>

How to Use

To start DBFlowManager activity from your activity or fragment:

A small library replicating the new dialogs in Android L.

Just as there was Retroweaver et al. for running Java 5 code with generics on Java 1.4, Retrolambda lets you run Java 8 code with lambda expressions on Java 7 or lower. It does this by transforming your Java 8 compiled bytecode so that it can run on a Java 7 runtime. After the transformation they are just a bunch of normal .class files, without adding any runtime dependencies.

ViewServer is a simple class you can use in your Android application to use the HierarchyViewer inspection tool.

ViewServer requires the Android SDK r12 or higher. http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html

Extended Javassist for Android. DEX (ODEX) file can be made from ".class" file that is generated by Javassist.

Simple binary instrumentation toolkit for Android ARM + Thumb.

Instrumentation is based on library injection and hooking function entry points (in-line hooking).

The toolkit consists of two main components the hijack tool and the base library.

ddi

Simple and easy to use toolkit for dynamic instrumentation of Dalvik code. Instrumentation is based on library injection and hooking method entry points (in-line hooking). The actual instrumentation code is written using the JNI interface.

The DDI further supports loading additional dex classes into a process. This enables instrumentation code to be partially written in Java and thus simplifies interacting with the instrumented process and the Android framework.
