Phone Locked and safe mode disabled

my dad got a new xiaomi mi note 2 and forgot his pattern.So the phone is locked, I tried recovery but the recovery mode is disabled, the same goes for USB debugging.Do you know any way to perform a factory reset?



I read some articles to enter edl mode but i had no success .
